International Women's Day 2021

Each year at MSite we look forward to celebrating International Women’s Day, and this year is no exception, with incredible women working within our organisation we are proud to showcase their achievements and help challenge gender based inequalities.

We are delighted to have so many outstanding women within our team, women are at every level of our business and we wouldn’t have it any other way. We offer apprenticeships teaching young girls and women the skills for a career in STEM, two colleagues that began their careers at MSite are our very own Kayleigh and Charlotte.

Kayleigh joined in 2017 as a Junior Build Engineer and Charlotte started in 2018 as an Apprentice Quality Assurance Engineer. Due to their exceptional professionalism and dedication to learning Charlotte was offered a full time, permanent position as Quality Assurance Engineer, and Kayleigh has since been promoted to Factory Supervisor.

Encouraging enthusiastic and ambitious women such as Kayleigh and Charlotte to our business and into STEM sectors is something that we are incredibly proud of, but we cannot become complacent. According to the World Economic Forum, sadly none of us will see gender parity in our lifetime, and it’s likely that many of our children won’t either.

At the current rate of change it will take almost 100 years to achieve gender parity, keep in mind that women haven’t even had the vote for that long yet.

There are many things we can do today that will help us tomorrow. By openly celebrating women’s achievements, raising awareness about the need for women’s equality and demanding accelerated gender parity, we hope to challenge bias and discrimination against women.

MSite is full of truly amazing women, and we hope to continue to celebrate you for many, many years to come.
